Situated on the outskirts of the beautiful south shore loch-side village of Dores, near Inverness, the charming cottage of Allt a’Mhuilinn is in a secluded spot by the Mhinisteir’s burn and will provide you with all the home comforts you would expect from a Scottish holiday cottage.

Far enough to be ‘away from it all’ but accessible enough to allow you to reach all the local attractions and city services – the perfect place to stay for a cottage holiday.
With its King and bunk bedded rooms Allt a’Mhuilinn is perfectly proportioned for couples or families with young children.
Our guests often take day trips as far afield as Orkney, Skye, Ullapool, Ben Nevis and Aviemore (to name just a few ) and then return to relax in true comfort with a warm cosy stove in this little ‘hidden away’ cottage. Or guests simply stroll down (in under five minutes) to the loch, explore the Torr Woods, beach comb, linger for while in the Dores Inn and then meander back (if you bring your pet they can guide you here!) to the cottage.
Christmas and New Year 2009 was spectacular - great snow but still accessible.

Only 8 miles (13km) from the Highland capital city of Inverness, which is well served by road, rail and air links, there are numerous local attractions including castles and distilleries, and activities including walking and mountain biking to sample. The beauty of the area is unsurpassable – you won’t want to leave…
